Mackenzie is a Boston-based, Elliot Norton Award-winning Composer and Sound Designer.

She grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she was first exposed to the world of music and theatre. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University, where she studied as a classically trained musician, filmmaker, audio technician and engineer, and designer for the theatre arts. With her background in music and composition, she bases her soundscapes and designs on a musical foundation. She enjoys working on projects where her work and original music can heighten human emotions, compliment movement, and perform as much of a storytelling role as the actors on the stage.

Mackenzie obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sound Design from Boston University and currently freelances in the Greater Boston area.
